Wrap-Up: March 2019

hello, lovelies!

March was quite the month! I read 16 books this month, eight of them rereads! It’s been a goal of mine this year to read more new-to-me books and not so many old favorites, but I slipped a little this week after a bit of a book slump :/ The only the thing to do when slumping is to go back and read an old gem!

It’s startling how fast this year is going by. I’m in the final month of my senior year, and it feels like I can’t take a break to breathe. All of sudden, I’m hitting all these milestones, taking me closer and closer to my eventual graduation. A frightening and alternately freeing concept.

LIBRARY BOOKS

MY BOOKS

BEST OF THE MONTH

  • Definitely the Foxhole Court trilogy!! Oh. My. God. I had no idea how much I would love this book, but it’s definitely the best one I read this month and is in the top two for the year thus far. Final thoughts: holy shiiit. My review is to come, to as soon as I can find the words to explain. Because I don’t currently have them. They’re lost.

Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop

I’m at the 57 percent mark of my first reread, and I’m still enjoying the hell out of it. Anne Bishop’s writing is so utterly unique, and Meg and Simon’s relationship never fails to make me smile. Simon especially, with his bafflement over human actions and mating courtships – and especially his fear of the “female pack,” or as he calls them, the “exploding fluffballs.” Omg, so funny!
