Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start But Haven’t

Okay… so this is an extensive list, and one in no particular order. There’s a lot of books and popular series that I just haven’t been able to get to yet. Damn that TBR! Someday…

What series haven’t you yet read, that you want to? If it wasn’t for Wrath and the Dawn that I read today, it would be on this list. Have you read one recently that you really liked (or didn’t like)? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!

    1. I had several … definitely more than ten. There’s a lot of highly- hyped books that EVERYONE seems to be talking about – but I haven’t read yet! It wasn’t until I started narrowing the number down to ten that I realized how many 😬 Truthwitch is… yeah at the top of that list! :)

    1. I have too! I actually just ordered Nevernight last week and it should be here … yesterday. Well. I’ll need to follow up on that :/ Anyway, I hope you knock some of these off your TBR, as well!! :) Have a great rest of the week

    1. Go you! Sounds like you’re Kicking TBR booty :) I actually ordered Nevernight a few days ago and I can’t wait for it to arrive!!! I’ve heard SUCH good things!

    1. Happy TTT, too! Even though it’s Wed ;) Outlander is something that I’ve heard about incessantly. It’s like some people’s Harry Potter! I really need to get to it — especially because I’m hearing so much about the TV Jamie :) Have a great rest of the week!

    1. I really want to watch the TV show, so I really need to pick it up. But whenever I sign into Amazon to buy books … I always click “save for later”. Whoops. Someday! Illuminae I want to read basically because it’s so beautiful and looks pretty interesting in terms of how its put together :)

    1. I read Shadow and Bone … Last summer, I believe. But I read it as a buddy read and I didn’t really enjoy it – maybe because my buddy was so negative. So I want to give the whole series a go WITHOUT a super negative partner to impact my thoughts this time. I don’t know – maybe I’ll like it more this time!

        1. Usually I enjoy buddy reading – and I did that time. It was a real discussion that was enjoyable – even if we did pick apart all of the books flaws and character inconsistencies. But that led to me focusing a lot on the negative – if I read it for fun, perhaps I’ll enjoy it more, you’re right.

          1. Sometimes picking apart the character and the book can be useful, though. That’s especially great if you’re interested in writing your own book. There are definitely some books that I could pick apart and then I wouldn’t have liked them as much.

            1. Yeah, I agree. The charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones is a prime example – the writing is okay, the plot is pretty bad, but Charley herself is so dynamic and hilarious that I’d find myself 9 books in and loving it. When I sit down to write a review, I realize how bad it was – yet I love the series! Amazing how that happens :)

  1. In terms of bingeability, I would probably go with Six of Crows, Shades of Magic and This Savage Song in that order. But that’s just me! What’s first on your list out of all of these?

    1. More likely Nevernight. I just ordered it and it is supposed to arrive any day. I don’t have any of those books yet, so I can’t quite read them yet. Also I want to read Shadow and Bone before Six of Crows. We’ll see how it goes :)

    1. I’ve heard nothing but good things about those. I really need to read them! For some reason, I have The Shades of Magic book 2, but not book 1. Odd how that happens, isn’t it? Anyway – I hope you have a great rest of the week, and that you read something great! Preferably from your own list :)

  2. I’ve read a bunch of these. Illuminae was really good but I have lost interest in picking up the sequel it seems. The Same goes for The Winner’s Curse. Six of Crows, The Grisha and Adsom were great though! I recommend!

  3. Great list and we share many of the same titles. I just finished the first book in the Six of Crows series and highly recommend that one. I’m on the last book of A Darker Shade of Magic and am so sad to being saying goodbye to those characters and the world they live in. It’s a fabulous read.
